INDIAN ASKIN X SCHEPERS BOSMAN

‘REPRINTS’
For this project, we were contacted by the band Indian Askin to re-design their bandshirts.

We added a second graphic layer with purple print to their stock of band shirts from previous tours. The original print was designed by Shop Around Amsterdam, the new print was based on a drawing by the frontman of the band Chino Ayala and translated by us. The print was manually screen-printed in The Netherlands, on top of the existing prints. In this way, each shirt got a unique double layered and new look.

Indian Askin: ‘Normally, a new design is made and printed for each tour, but there is always a stock of unsold shirts. These "reprints" give the shirts a new lease of life. No more waste!’

Schepers Bosman: ‘For us, sustainability is not a story, but something we just do.’

We have an ongoing partnership with Indian Askin, where the band is a source of inspiration and motivation for the design and also a purpose for the brand.

The limited edition reprints were exclusively available through Indian Askin, during the another round tour throughout The Netherlands.

‘Graphic bandshirt’

We were asked by the band to design a new bandshirt for them, working from our own perspective.
We wanted to treat the bandshirt as a canvas to showcase a visual abstract image, that would still remind you of a band or a stage performance.

Instead, we took our own photos during one of their performances, focusing on all the equipment on the stage. We were especially triggered by the colourful paddle boards.
We translated one photo into a graphic composition that was then screenprinted in three colours on a longsleeve t-short.

SCHEPERS BOSMAN X QUEEN’S PLEASURE’S JELMER

‘CUSTOM BAND MERCH FOR 3FM SERIOUS REQUEST’

For this collaboration, Jelmer van Os from the Amsterdam band Queen’s Pleasure contacted us to re-make their band merch into a custom designed tee for the 3FM Serious Request charity auction of Dutch national radio channel 3FM.

‘As you know queen's pleasure, they are always dressed in suits on stage. Except for the bassist, Jelmer van Os, who often takes the stage in homemade clothing. That is why Jelmer, together with the designer duo Schepers Bosman, designed a special edition shirt as part of the merch.

SPECIAL EDITION
With Schepers Bosman, Jelmer and the band already participated in the opening of the Amsterdam fashion week in The Grand hotel. And now, in the Schepers Bosman studio, Jelmer has made 12 shirts by hand, of which Queen's Pleasure is making the first shirt available to the world wildlife fund!’

This is not just one of the 12, because Jelmer wore it during the live performance of Queen's Pleasure in the glass house during 3FM Serious Request.’

SCHEPERS BOSMAN X BLOOMER RECORDS

‘CUSTOM BLOOMER RECORDS MERCH’

For this project, Amsterdam based music label Bloomer Records contacted us to re-work their label’s merch into two unique and custom designed t-shirts.

Playing with the notion of ‘two’ and the close relationship they have within the label, we came up with two original designs.
