BOSMAN X MAISON AMSTERDAM
‘AMSTERDAM CITY OF
DENIM’
We were invited by the Amsterdam Museum and the Hermitage be part of the Maison Amsterdam exhibition in de Nieuwe Kerk located on the Dam square in Amsterdam. The goal of the exhibition was to present a total overview of the fashion in Amsterdam, from the past, the present and the future. The 2D exhibition design were carried out by Glamcult.
The Schepers Bosman look that was exhibited, represented Amsterdam as city of denim. The look was developed when we had just moved our studio from the Southern Netherlands to Amsterdam and played with our first observations of the city.
Featured in the look is the famous Amsterdam ‘Andreaskruis’ with the three X’s, executed in a layered patchwork of denim, corduroy and fleece fabrics. As a very direct nod to theme of the exhibition.

BOSMAN X DUTCH DESIGN AWARDS EXHIBITION
‘21SS SB SYNERGY’
As part of the
nomination for the Dutch Design Awards ’21, we were invited to exhibit our work
at the Dutch Design Week, in the Microlab building at the Strijp-S area in Eindhoven,
The Netherlands.
We highlighted our long lasting co-work with the music artists of Amsterdam based label bloomer records and other creatives around us and the influence we have on each others work. The installation consisted of a couple of abstract hanging clothing sets, to emphasize the craftsmanship and construction itself. Surrounded by images, videos and sketched of the people behind the collection. As a celebration of individual personalities that are often the drive behind our work.

BOSMAN X AFK EXHIBITION
‘UNPACKING THE 3PACKAGE
DEAL’We participated in the exhibition ‘Unpacking the 3Package Deal 2017/18, hosted by the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) and Bureau Broedplaatsen.
On 27 October at Dansmakers Amsterdam, 15 participants and collectives of various ages, backgrounds and nationalities presented their new and ongoing projects, curated by Fadwa Naamna.
We came up with an open installation consisting of all the works that we executed in the year 2017-2018, built up as a huge 3D composition. The installation featured multiple disciplines, such as fashion collections, poster campaigns, portrait series, images of our studio, work in progress, scanned series etc. The guests were invited to walk through the work and start conversations.

BOSMAN X FASHIONCLASH EXHIBITION
‘A REBUILT OF THE
SCHEPERS BOSMAN HOUSE’
For this project, we
were contacted by the Fashionclash team to participate in the ‘New Fashion Narratives’
exhibition that took place during the online festival.
Instead of doing a traditional ‘fashion’ exhibition with clothes on a hanger, we decided to go for a new concept. Our idea was to show a total image of our brand, by making an actual ‘rebuilt’ of our studio.
In Maastricht, we built up our space with images, posters, fabric works, garments, tables, chairs etc. To create an atmosphere of our work environment. We wanted to invite people into our space, take a chair at the table and start the conversation. Like we always do when we start working.

BOSMAN X SCHUIT EXHIBITION
‘THE FLAT SERIES’
We were asked by Stephanie
Schuitemaker (Schuit) to participate in an exhibition curated by her that took
place during FDFA 2017.
The common goal was to look at fashion from a different perspective and make the connection to the art world.
We came up with a concept of ‘the revaluation of the garment’ and asked ourselves: ‘Why is fashion outdated so fast, while art and product design gain more value over time?’
We presented our ‘flat series’: mixed media prints and a folded installation designed on site, out of our garments. We wanted to focus on colour, construction and finishing, to create a new awareness.
A continuation of this concept was presented during Art Rotterdam.
